Dr. Joachim Piguet is a world-leading researcher in photonics biopsy. For the last 10 years, he has participated in the development of TRAST in the lab of Professor Jerker Widengren.

His team’s work has resulted in 17 publications and multiple patents related to TRAST and PDT.

He joined Santanyi Biomedical to bring a decade of work to the world’s benefit.

Born in Switzerland, Dr. Piguet holds a Ph.D. in biophysics from EPFL. He came to Sweden as a Marie Curie Researcher in 2015.

Vincent Weir is an elite distance runner and serial entrepeneur.

Born in the US and trained at McKinsey & Company in America, Mr. Weir spent the last six years co-founding five companies in Stockholm.

Nominated as Sweden’s best networker by the Nordic Angel Prize in 2023, Mr. Weir developed a reputation for building profitable, disciplined businesses in both biotech & professional services.

Between 2013-2023, Mr. Weir also achieved top 25 rankings for distance running events in both Sweden and the U.S.

Dr. Lech Ignatowicz is an Ironman, a serial entrepeneur, and one of Sweden’s leading biotech incubators.

The co-founder of five biotechs, including two that achieved consistent profitability, Dr. Ignatowicz has earned his reputation as Stockholm’s best biotech talent for commercializing science.

Born in Poland, Lech is a Marie Curie Scholar who moved to Sweden in 2006 to pursue his Ph.D. in immunology from Karolinska Institutet.

He completed his first Iron Man in July 2021.
